Iranian
Resistance: Maryam Rajavi attends Christmas Eve service
|
Mrs.
Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of
Iran, attended Christmas Eve service on Thursday in St Germain-des-Près Abbey,
Paris.
Earlier
on Thursday, in a message marking Christmas, the Iranian Resistance’s
President-elect offered her greetings especially to Christians in Iran and
around the world.
Drawing
on the fact that this year the birthday of Jesus Christ, the prophet of peace
and freedom, coincides with that of the Prophet Mohammad, Mrs. Rajavi wished
that the year 2016 would be a year of friendship and brotherhood among
followers of all faiths and a year of unity and victory over Islamic extremism
and especially the religious fascism ruling Iran, and its evil allies, who sow
the seeds of hatred, violence, and sectarianism around the globe.
Pointing
out that all divine religions have brought the same message of love, compassion
and freedom, Mrs. Rajavi said: Muslims and Christians can rely on their common
values to stand up to those who pervert their religions through fanaticism, terror
and extremism
