Wednesday, March 2, 2016, the Iranian Resistance's President-elect Maryam Rajavi attended a meeting at the European Parliament entitled, "EU policy on Iran after Nuclear Accord". The meeting was presided by MEP Gerard Deprez, chairman of the Friends of a Free Iran inter-parliamentary group in the European Parliament.

A considerable number of members of the European Parliament and members of the Parliament of Belgium as well as the representative of the Syrian opposition coalition took part in the meeting and made speeches. They expressed support for the Iranian Resistance and abhorrence over the undemocratic elections in Iran. The deputies underlined the fact that elections are meaningless under a religious dictatorship and the West must not be deceived by such repetitive theatrics that they have already experienced. There are no moderates in the Iranian regime but there are suppression, religious and ethnic discrimination, interference in the affairs of other countries and warmongering in the region and the world.

A young Iranian woman committed suicide on Monday by jumping off a bridge in Tehran.

The woman was not identified by name, but the regime’s state media reported that she was 25 years old.

She took her life at 11.20 am by jumping off the 10-meter-heigh pedestrian bridge in Tehran’s Resalat Square.

In another case of suicide, two girls who had been discharged from a girls’ social welfare center in East Azerbaijan Province, north-west Iran, on Friday attempted to take their lives. One of the girls Rava was saved by medics in a hospital in the city of Tabriz while Paria died due to her injuries, the regime’s state news agency IRNA said.

In a separate development, a 45-year-old man on Sunday doused himself with petrol and set himself on fire in a public square in the city of Shush, western Iran.

Poverty, deprivation and suppression in Iran under the mullahs’ regime have driven some people, in particular women and girls, to the point of taking their own lives.

Numerous cases of self-immolation in Iran in recent months have drawn special attention, including the cases of Omid Rashedi, 36, from the south-western city of Ahwaz; Mansour Keyhani, a retired teacher from Sanghar, western Iran; Ali Akbari, 45, a laborer from Tehran; Hamid Farokhi, 43, a street vendor from Tabriz, north-west Iran; and Youness Asakareh, 31, a laborer from Khorramshahr, south-western Iran. In all these cases, the self-immolations had an element of protest against the mullahs' regime.

On average, 11 people commit suicide in Iran every day, the equivalent of three in every 100,000 people, according to the website of the Women's Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Iranian laborers in particular are suffering from poverty, hunger and unemployment while Iran’s great wealth is spent on domestic suppression, antinationalistic polices of export of terrorism and warmongering in the region, and weapons of mass destruction projects or is plundered by the regime’s officials.

As long as the mullahs’ regime is in power, suppression, poverty, hunger, prostitution and addiction will continue in Iran. The sole solution to end such tyranny and oppression is to topple the antihuman regime of the mullahs and establish democracy in Iran.

Bogus information being pumped against PMOI in Camp Liberty

Pumping fabricated information and reports against PMOI in Camp Liberty to tighten the siege and suppression and to disrupt transfer out of Iraq

According to reports received from inside Iran, the Iranian regime’s Intelligence Ministry (MOIS) has in recent weeks ramped up the pumping of fabricated information against the PMOI and Camp Liberty residents.

In one such ludicrous lie, the MOIS informed the Governmental Committee tasked to suppress Ashraf, as well as other Iraqi security and military organs, that a group from the PMOI is planning to hijack an airplane at Baghdad Airport. The reason behind these lies is to ratchet up the siege and suppressive measures against Camp Liberty and to disrupt the transfer of residents out of Iraq.

The Iranian regime parliament is deliberating on a scheme dubbed “protecting hijab and chastity” in order to ramp up the atmosphere of terror in the society and to intensify suppression of women in particular. Most of the articles of this 13-article legislation that was in general ratified by regime’s parliament last October aims at limiting women’s employment and imposing still further pressure and suppression of women on the mullahs-fabricated pretext of “mal-veiling.
