Wednesday, March 2, 2016, the Iranian Resistance's President-elect Maryam Rajavi attended a meeting at the European Parliament entitled, "EU policy on Iran after Nuclear Accord". The meeting was presided by MEP Gerard Deprez, chairman of the Friends of a Free Iran inter-parliamentary group in the European Parliament.

A considerable number of members of the European Parliament and members of the Parliament of Belgium as well as the representative of the Syrian opposition coalition took part in the meeting and made speeches. They expressed support for the Iranian Resistance and abhorrence over the undemocratic elections in Iran. The deputies underlined the fact that elections are meaningless under a religious dictatorship and the West must not be deceived by such repetitive theatrics that they have already experienced. There are no moderates in the Iranian regime but there are suppression, religious and ethnic discrimination, interference in the affairs of other countries and warmongering in the region and the world.

Khamenei compelled to approve nuclear deal paves way for future violations and stonewalling

On Wednesday, October 21, Iranian regime supreme leader Khamenei who is deeply concerned about the consequences of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with P5+1 for the survival of the clerical regime, inescapably approved the deal after a 100-day delay in a letter to Rouhani and stated that he approves the August 10, 2015 resolution of regime’s Supreme National Security Council in this regard.

Meanwhile, he resorted to charlatanism special to him to take advantage of the feeblepolicy of the West and its appeasement of mullahs. He raised some arguments or new conditions and made ambiguous statements to keep the option of violating the accord and to pave the way for stonewalling its implementation, while attempting to prop up his dispirited forces.

IRAN: Trade unionist Shahrokh Zamani found dead in his cell under suspicious circumstances

Iraniantrade unionist Shahrokh Zamani, a prisoner of conscience, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Sunday in Gohardasht Prison (Rajaei Shahr Prison) in the city of Karaj, north-west of Tehran.

Shohrokh Zamani, 51, a labor activist and a painter, was last arrested in June 2011. He was tortured in prison and on numerous occasions went on hunger strike to protest his brutal treatment and the inhumane prison conditions.

Iran - executes woman in prison west of Tehran

 A prisoner by the name of Fateme Haddadi, 39, a mother of a girl and imprisoned for the last 8 years, was hanged on Monday, August 10th in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran. Under the pretext of being taken to the clinic, she had been transferred Sunday evening from hall 6 of Gharchak Prison in Varamin, southeast of Tehran, to solitary confinement in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj. The body of this executed woman is currently held in a morgue in Karaj.

Mass executions, taking place nearly on a daily basis in Iran’s prisons, are crimes against humanity.
