Iran-linked groups focus of Baghdad kidnapping probe: U.S. sources
U.S. intelligence agencies investigating the kidnapping of three Americans in Baghdad, Iraq last week are focusing their probe on three groups closely affiliated with the Iranian regime, U.S. government sources said on Thursday.
Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Kata’ib Hezbollah and the Badr Organization are the principle focus of the investigation into the armed kidnapping of the three Americans in the Dora neighborhood, south of Baghdad, the sources said.
The three men are employed by a still-unidentified small company doing work for General Dynamics under a larger contract with the U.S. Army.
Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Kata’ib Hezbollah and the Badr Organization are Shi’ite militia groups that are part of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Front, a group closely tied to Iran, according to the Counter Terrorism Project, a New York-based advocacy group.

McCain Displays Photo of Dead Syrian Boy on Senate Floo

Senator John McCain, a leading Republican from the state ofArizona, displayed the image of the body of a three year-old Syrian boy on Wednesday on the Senate floor as he urged stronger leadership from US President Barack Obama on Syria.

McCain, a Republican, stood next to an enlarged, close-up photo of Aylan Kurdi, who drowned along with his 5-year-old brother and mother when their small rubber boat capsized as it headed for Greece. McCain said the photo has 'opened the world’s eye to this devastating crisis.'

McCain said it should haunt Americans that 'the United States will continue to do nothing meaningful' about conflicts like that in Syria that have led to a surge in refugees

Iran - Should the regime eventually be in danger of collapsing in the face of revolution

Congressman describes Iran deal as permitting “terrorism with impunity

Rep.-Brad-Sherman
Rep.-Brad-Sherman
Representative Brad Sherman (D-CA) has come out strongly against the
Iran deal, warning that the Iran deal means “terrorism with impunity.”
My goal is to make sure all Americans know this is not morally or legally binding on the U.S. and the world, because I see how ugly this deal is in the next decade,” Sherman said in an interview with Breitbart News.
“Everything Iran is doing has a legitimate cover,” Sherman warned. “In international affairs, everybody lies some of the time, and Iran lies much more often.”

Sherman addressed his heated exchange with Secretary of State John Kerry during last week’s hearing before the House Foreign Affairs Committee where Kerry refused to answer whether he would follow the law and commit to congressionally-imposed sanctions should Congress garner enough votes to override President Obama’s veto.
