BERLIN (AP) — German prosecutors have filed espionage charges against two Iranian men accused of spying on exiled opposition members for Iranian intelligence.
Federal prosecutors said Friday that the indictment against 31-year-old Maysam P. and 33-year-old Saied R. was filed March 22 at a Berlin court. The two men's full names weren't given in keeping with German privacy rules.
Prosecutors say both men once belonged to the opposition group known as the People's Mujahedin of Iran, or MEK.

Three prisoners die in Iran prison in consecutive days

Torture by Iran’s fundamentalist regime has led to the death of three Iranians in a prison in Zahedan, southeastern Iran, over three consecutive days this week, according to received reports.
The reports indicated that on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of this week the three prisoners in Wards 5, 6 and 7 of the central prison of Zahedan died due to brutal tortures and denial of medical treatment.
Farzad Naravi, who went by the nickname Shahin and was in his forties, lost his life on Sunday, December 27, three days after he was transferred to Ward 5 of the prison from an interrogation center where he had been brutally tortured. He had serious torture wounds and blood on his back and feet. In prison, he was denied access to medical care.
Mehdi Naravi, 38, died in prison on Monday, December 28. He had spent the past six years behind bars and had been in Ward 7 of Zahedan Prison. For some time, Mehdi Naravi had been ill, but the prison guards deliberately refused to allow his transfer to a hospital.
Gholam Rabbani, 45, who had been imprisoned in Ward 6 of the prison, died on Tuesday, December 29. He too had been ill after spending the past two years in prison, but prison guards had prevented him from receiving proper medical treatment.

Unemployed educated girls who set up a stall at Tehran's Press Fair this year, attracted a lot of attention because of their rare undertaking. They resorted to sale ofsteam-cooked sweet beets and hot lima beans, both popular snacks among Iranians, because they could earn better money in this way.
Their sister was reportedly inside the Fair at her press stall, without much customers.

Iran - 20% reduction in Iranians’ food basket

Economic mismanagement by the mullahs' regime in Iran has led to Iranians being able to consume 20 percent less food and liquids, the Iranian regime's state media have acknowledged.
In 2010, each Iranian household on average consumed an annual amount of 2318 kilograms of food and liquids. In the current year, the average annual consumption stands at 1874 kg, a decrease of 19.15%, according to the state-run Etemad daily.

The difference in consumption rates in the two periods is considerably higher when considering only basic food and beverage.

Thousands of Iranian-Americans rallied on Monday outside the United Nations in New York to condemn the presence of the Iranian regime's President Hassan Rouhani at the UN General Assembly and to call on the international community to take action to stop human rights abuses in Iran.

Young Iranians in Holland say No to Rouhani

Young Iranians in Holland have added their voices to the campaign to "Stop Executions in Iran."

Iranians the world over have embarked on a global campaign to expose the mullahs' president Hassan Rouhani who has drastically stepped up human rights abuse in Iran since he took office two years ago.

Iranians have been rallying outside government ministries and United Nations offices in various European and North American countries in recent weeks urging the international community to focus on Iran’s appalling human rights record.

At least 20,000 homeless Iranians are living in cardboard boxes on the streets of Tehran, a senior official of the regime has acknowledged, even as the real number of homeless people in the Iranian capital is believed to be several times the official figure. 

Tehran has more than 20,000 homeless people sleeping in the streets, and 10% of these people are women. 10% of these homeless people are suffering from infectious diseases.
