Maryam Rajavi’s New Year and Christmas greetings

Maryam Rajavi’s New Year and Christmas greetings
Maryam Rajavi’s New Year and Christmas greetings
Dear Christians in Iran and everywhere else,
Supporters of the Iranian Resistance across the world,
I would like to greet you on Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ, which has coincided this year with the birthday of the Prophet Mohammad.
I would also like to extend my greetings for the New Year.
I wish  that 2016  would be a year  of unity and victory  over Islamic extremism  and especially  the religious fascism  ruling Iran  and its evil allies  in the Middle East  who sow  the seeds of enmity  in the world.
We remember Jesus Christ when he said:  “Love one another just as I love you”.
Also in the Quran, God says about Mohammad:  “We sent thee as a Mercy for all mankind”.
This is the message of all divine religions and therefore, the coincidence of the two births, is a feast of brotherhood among all nations
Fortunate are those who have found the essence of Christianity and Islam in love, compassion and freedom
And we salute Virgin Mary, the symbol of love and sacrifice who is described in the Bible as “loved by God”.
The birth and emergence of every prophet mark a new birth for mankind in social life
When our world is under the attack of terror and extremism, we can find the light of freedom and tolerance and perseverance against fundamentalism and extremism in these births.
Muslims and Christians can rely on their common values to stand up to those who pervert their religions
So, in contrast to what the extremists want, we should make our hope and faith in humanity deeper than ever.
Let us hope for a swift end to extremism and for the freedom of the people of Syria from dictatorships of Bashar Assad, Khamenei and Daesh terrorists
Let us hope for end to displacement and homelessness of Christians throughout the Middle East.
And let us hope for the relief of Christian converts in Iran from the oppression of ruling mullahs and for freedom of the whole Iranian nation from this religious dictatorship.
On this occasion,  I call on the world community  to form an international front  against the religious dictatorship in Iran  and its proxies and militia  in Syria and Iraq  and to fight Islamic extremism,  the enemy of true Muslims,  Christians  and all followers  of other divine religions.
May the message of compassion, freedom and tolerance engulf the Middle East.
May the world get relieved from tyranny and fundamentalism and have a new birth and revival.

Women in History

Nancy Astor
Nancy Astor
-1919- Nancy Astor was elected a Member of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. She was the first woman to sit in the House of Commons.
Nancy Witcher Langhorne Astor (19 May 1879 – 2 May 1964), rallied the supporters of the incumbent government, moderated her Prohibition views, and used women's meetings to gain the support of female voters. A by-election was held on 28 November 1919, and she took up her seat in the House on 1 December as a Unionist (also known as "Tory") Member of Parliament. Astor's friendship with George Bernard Shaw helped her through some of her problems, although his own nonconformity caused friction between them. They held opposing political views and had very different temperaments. However, his own tendency to make controversial statements or put her into awkward situations proved to be a drawback for her political career. Astor was challenged by the rise of Nazism. She criticized them for devaluing the position of women, but was strongly opposed to the idea of another World War. Lady Astor died in 1964 at her daughter Nancy Astor's home at Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire.

20 November

1946-Children's Day is recognized in many places around the world, on various days to honor children.
Universal Children's Day takes place annually on November 20. First proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954, it was established to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world's children. The United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989. Universal Children's Day is not simply a day to celebrate children for who they are, but to bring awareness to children around the globe that have succumbed to violence in forms of abuse, exploitation and discrimination. Children are used as labourers in some countries, immersed in armed conflict, living on the streets, suffering from religious discrimination, minority issues, or disabilities.

Iran has increased funding to terror group Hezbollah following the nuclear agreement brokered with the P5 +1 in July, The Washington Times reporte.

Since the deal was signed, Iran has significantly increased its financial
support for Hezbollah, one of the largest terror groups in the region. ... This support, for example, has enabled Hezbollah to obtain highly developed new armaments, including advanced technologies that many militaries around the world would envy. Al-Rai, a Kuwaiti newspaper, reported Saturday that Hezbollah has received all the advanced weaponry that Syria has obtained from the Russians. ... As regards the Palestinians, in the past two months.

The funding boost indicates that Iran assumes crippling international sanctions will be lifted following the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) investigation of Tehran's past nuclear program.
